Floating

Contributed by deadheadpoet on Tuesday, 29th August 2006 @ 08:45:09 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

Laying atop crystal glass waters
floating
floating away
moments seem caught
in each
breath I take

I can hear my respirations
I can hear my blood pumping
in and out of the atriums and ventricles
in a lovely rhythm
I've grown so accustomed too

Lost here
reflections dance across
gray-brown skies
blue sunshine in my eyes
sparkling
twinkling
passively relating to me...life

Life...
In all it's deepest moments

Melding here in liquid glass
Her steady hands hold me
And I'm just floating
floating away

Oh, laura.. a stunning depiction my friend!!

I absolutely adore that last stanza. So dream-like and
beautiful. Dripping with serenity, sis.

Isn't water inspiring? Lovely write DH. Just lovely!!

Life afloat, rolling and drifting on calm waters. This seems to set our minds adrift, and our life, the world, seems to take on a very skewed perception....a dreamy state.

Stirs up very pleasant images for me, my friend

Well done, Laura

Will

Soooo relaxing, Laura. I've done this so many times myself but never written about it. Thanks for putting the feelings and sensations on site.

I love the peace in this...that sort of driftingawayfeeling I get from it.

I love the images, too.

Lovely, lovely write. I must visit your page more often.

I couldn't have written about what you have if I had tried. Amazing, how different minds are also like water, finding different levels in different terrains or environments. I have a memory of floating like this as a child-I remember being able to hear my pulse, just as you describe. You know, If I hadn't read this, I may have never thought of that moment again. It is a thought from a more peacful time in my life when I did not carry the troubles I do now. Thanks for letting me remember it again Laura.
