Dreams last forever but life doesnt

Dreams last forever but life doesn’t.


Life can never be lived forever
So have dreams to make it better
If you have dreams and no hope
Then don’t dream

If you have hope and no will to succeed
Then don’t hope at all
If you have neither then don’t sleep at all
If you don’t sleep then you will fall

But one day if you fall
Just give me a call
I will put you to sleep

I will also wipe your tears if at all you weep.
Don’t worry if the hill is too steep
And the water is too deep

I will be by your side
Riding the tide
And I will give you shelter to hide

You have a shoulder to cry
An eye to watch out
When there is danger behind your back
I will give you a shout

But after all this the lights will be out
This friend of yours
Will be six feet under
And all of you will wonder why every night there is thunder

It will be me reminding you of my past
And I hope with you
My words last.
