Mister Levenkron sat on a tuffet,
Reading his books away.
Along came a monster,
He put a hand behind her,
And told her "please stay."
He uncovered a girl,
Helped her live in this world,
And taught her anger's okay.
Mister Hallinan pulled out a pencil,
Attempting to perform a trick.
With a gaze that held her still,
He showed her with a thrill,
She didn't have to be sick.
He lit up her life,
Helped her deal with the knife,
Without the use of a kick.
Though still dead sometimes,
The girl writes in rhymes,
Riddles her friends,
Of when life will end,
But what more could one expect,
Eleven years she'd no one that'd protect.
