The Greatest Gift of All

Contributed by puppy_dog_eyes on Tuesday, 29th August 2006 @ 04:59:03 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

If a day could echo another, let each day echo this
Let not these precious moments be conquered by memory's mist
To this place you came delivered, by all the twists and turns
Two journeys meet at the crossroads, now one will venture on

Fate rolled her dice with favoured smile and union was cast
Wove the subtle spell of harmony into unsuspecting hearts
Time watched careful sentinel, saw it flourish from the seed
Love gave two lives new meaning and synchronicity

A ring placed on the finger, will serve to seal the vow
Where once was half is now the whole, circle bands the circle bond
No man will put asunder, where the spirit pulse is strong
If a fire burns so intensely it can never be quelled

Take the wishes of all that witness and those in spirit too
For better, worse, for rich or poor, whatever will prevail
This day of smiles when all unite, with those we watch united
These gifts we give mere compliment, to the greatest gift of all

This is such a great gift to give from one sibling to another. I am sure she will like it and will treasure it as this comes from yer heart. And what's better than a gift from the heart....
