Sunshine as gold
as Cellini's saltcellar.
I sit on the smooth pine floor,
every snarl of wood
sanded down to a softness.
The world is so vast.
You could place a million violins side by side,
the voice of each could shout,
up from the stomachs
of the womanly curved bodies,
pulse through the strings,
and never touch the equator.

This had a very calming effect on me for some reason, which is something I'm not entirely accustomed to. So, for that, you desrve a round of applause for a piece very well written.
Much Love, |
