The next time you try to write a fancy poem know beforehand that it will be bad
Meaninglessness writ large and poorly
Jump instead in the waters of a cold mountain lake
Smell the pine scents from the pine trees there
The mountain breeze whips across your pretentious poet face

They're not all bad, Jock - surely. Next time you write a poem - write more about that cool mountain lake, the pine scents, and that mountain breeze. That's what I want to hear more about. I'll bet you can do a good job of it too. God bless. |

Actually, Jock, I liked this one. Got a bit of a haiku/Zen feel to it. Maybe it's aimed at someone in particular, but I chose to read it as a lesson in humility and perspective for all of us. Our creative output pales in comparison to the elegence and artistry around us in the natural world. But we keep striving, 'cause that's part of what we are.
