My friends
They ask if I'm ok
I shrug
I say it's all the same
Would you believe me if I said I'm sad
Would you believe that I've never been glad
But I've never cried
Never tried to die
But there's nothing so lovely as the word suicide
My friends
I know that this must end
If only
The rough patches would mend
Would you believe me if I said I've tried
To put the rough patches in my life behind
But I've never cried
Never tried to die
But there's nothing so lovely as the word suicide
My friends
The time I think has come
The joys
In this life have not shown up
Would you believe me if I said goodbye
After all the times I've jokingly lied
But I've never cried
Never tried to die
But there's nothing so lovely as the word suicide
But I've never cried
Never tried to die
Until the day I took my life
