I look up to the sky above
And think of you, my dear sweet love,
I see your face within a cloud
I want to shout our love so loud
Perhaps someone above will hear
The wish I make to have you near

I look up to the sky above
And dream of you, my dear sweet love,
I feel your lips upon my face
I feel your arms in an embrace
I dream of holding you so tight
How I wish you were here tonight

I look up to the sky above
And cry for you, my dear sweet love,
The tears pour down like drops of rain
I cannot hide this lonely pain
I force a smile with inward pride
As I really wish you were by my side

I look up to the sky above
And pray for you, my dear sweet love,
That one day you soon will find
A pleasant, calming peace of mind
I wait for you, and set you free
I just pray that you’ll come back to me.

They will come back, if it was meant to be.

Wise words my mum used to recite. Lovely poem, full of feeling and emotion. A good flowing poem. excellent. Sue x
