Shallow Us

Contributed by alasdaircairns on Sunday, 27th August 2006 @ 10:01:11 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Shallow me ,shallow you, shallow them, shallow us,
Allows us a shorthand shallowness omnibus,
To forget and not regret is causing self concuss,
(If there's such a thing as inverted hyper-rush)

Funny you, funny us, funny them, funny me,
I'm grinning while I'm spinning all around our big oak tree,
And while I'm feeling dizzy I'm as happy as can be,
As while the world is spinning round there is no way to see.

Angry them, angry us, angry me, angry you,
We're hanging on the anger now, what else for us to do.
I feel the hex of self regret as anger fades to blue,
The crazy things I chose to say, the things we never do.

Empty me, empty you, empty them, empty us,
We're scraping not escaping from the suck of empytness,
But if we shout too loud we're told, forget about the fuss,
Your screams are dreams ripped at the seams, they'll never cry enough.

I'm not very nice, but then again I am posting this nice comment that I thought you did a remarkable job on this. So maybe I am nice, in the tiniest of ways.
