I Wish You Were Here

Contributed by Gayla on Sunday, 27th August 2006 @ 07:55:19 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I still remember the morning of the day you had to leave
how it was so hard for me to just breathe
My mind is so suffocated by things you've said
I can't sleep cause you won't take a rest from inside my head
I miss your soft voice in my ears
I remember how you said "I wish you were here"
so we could watch this show together in your room
but watching tv is the last thing we'd do

You make me smile a way no one has made me smile before
and to be honest I can't describe how I feel at all

I walk down the longest street
thinking about the day we'd meet
I walk down the longest street in my town
wishing you'd be there waiting at my house
but this is what you have to do for being such a ***** up
I hope you get better soon cause I'm missing you so much
I hope you're doing okay at your rehab
please be good cause I want you to come back

You make me smile a way no one has made me smile before
and to be honest I can't describe how I feel at all

It's been too long since we last talked
and I am getting close to feeling hopeless
Oh, but I know this is worth it
everything, you're worth the wait of anything

Great job! One does not know the depth of love until
the object of it vanishes.
