I’ve thought a thousand thoughts
Dreamed a thousand dreams
To try and see our future
Yet the possibilities are limitless
So all I can do is hope
That I will remain
Good enough for you
And I’ve realized
Not to worry about time
For it’s not on our side
And it never has been
But it won’t stop us
We control our own fate
Not God and not time
So look me in the eyes my dear
And ask yourself
Will I be enough for you?
When we are apart
Will I be enough for you?
When you need someone to hate
Will I be enough for you?
When you need someone to love
Just ask yourself my dear
For your answers control our fate
And they control the beat of my heart
Because you are all I need
All I want my love
Is a life with you
So just ask yourself
Am I good enough for you?
And if I am not
Then kill me softly
And leave me in peace
