Bleed to death

Contributed by Inevitable on Saturday, 26th August 2006 @ 01:40:19 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Choking back the words
I scream as if
afraid that he
might hurt me
my eyes are so intense
but bleed nonstop
and tears continue
to trickle out
like the words you
use to break my heart,
to bend my body,
like a soul ripped inward and
I'm nothing
nothing but sick
inside
my pulp exposed
and shone naked
like those chilling
breaths you
take in
order to say
that my cries
are useless and
unborn to this night
where I sleep in
the backseat,
strapped into an
elusive memory..

You knew I'd bleed to death.
