Have you ever just
Felt like walking away
Just giving up
And walk out the door
Well it's good to hear
I’m not the only one
That’s felt this way before
Once or twice I thought
I’d give up the fight
Until a thought
Would come to my mind
Well if you give up
You're gonna give up forever
And you’ll never
Have a chance again
Now I know it’s hard to believe
That this war is worth the battle
It’s too hard to stand
And you can feel yourself
Losing your grip
Just hold on a little tighter
And tell yourself
I can’t give up just yet
And try again

Yup. Givin' up is a life-crushing bad habit. This was written with such a tender theme of love and friendship (call it gentle persuasion) that the receiver would consider the unselfish wisdom you proffer much more willingly. Hope it worked.
