Little Feather

My Little Feather

Little feather… you breeze past me in the autumn weather,
Singing a song of a soul so free,
risisng above my orange tree.
I see you fret, elated to touch the crimson, lest it set,
I see you glide, like a bird on its very first ride...
A melonchony fills my heart,
that cherishes the memories you leave behind,
as you cruise into the far away land…
I wished to hold you close,oh! Little feather....
As you rose and soared above my orange grove,
But I knew the time had come for you to go…
I said goodbye as a tear rolled past my eye,
But a wind came by and wept it dry, and
whispered to me that,
My little feather, now divine, will always be mine and,
My heart sings to you everyday and says…
Oh! Little feather… as you breeze past me in the autumn weather.

you work well with words.

i liked this:

a tear rolled past my eye,
but a wind came by and wept it dry, and...

and this:

now divine will always be mine...

the way you played with rhyme, without making it sound sing-song and amatuer. Very nice.
