Running through this darkest night,
Fighting the unforgettable fight,
Scared of pleasure, scared of pain,
Scared of loss and scared of gain,
Afraid to give, afraid to lose,
Afraid my heart will end up bruised,
But most of all afraid of you,
And the things my soul wants me to do.
Suddenly, moving far too fast,
The present too quick becomes the past,
And I can’t hold on because I’m falling in love,
Yet I’m still so scared that love isn’t enough,
So often you see it fall apart,
A worn out girl with a worn out heart,
And a bewildered boy with nothing to lose,
Standing there, begging her to choose.
The rain hits tar and he touches her cheek,
Silently urging the girl to speak,
But she’s lost her voice, doesn’t know what to say,
Does she want him to go, or does she want him to stay?
His eyes are clouded, like the fog on a lake,
And he doesn’t realise just how much is at stake,
That being with him could cost all she has,
Still, deep down she knows she can’t let this pass.
Soaked through to the bone, their mouths meet,
As the earth trembles under their feet,
In that moment her mind is made,
Forever a kiss, unable to fade,
Heaven is only a heartbeat away,
She now knows that she wants him to stay,
Tomorrow he might hurt her, might cause her pain,
But she’ll always have that moment when, they kissed; in the rain.

I for one think a kiss in the rain
is something that should never
be passed up. A wonderful trip
through the emotions of a girl
who is'nt sure if shes willing to
take that chance. ( I'm glad she
did ) take care , Truly , Doug |

Take about being better than a movie scene, your graphic poetry flows as sweetly as a classic love scene of love's dilemma in the pouring rain. Oh my Lord, what an enchanting, masterful, and methodically creative muse~!
I have family in Rudy (the little town of Arkansas), if that is what your user name implies. Perhaps we’re related. I also do genealogy research and have taken my line all the way back to Adam and Even (and historic greats which Hollywood loves doing movies about, he-he). |
