The House of Doubt...

Contributed by markymark on Sunday, 28th July 2002 @ 09:37:22 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I once lived in a house of doubt
but the optimist in me... said i should get out
so moved instead to a house of pain
that wrecked my head... and hurt my brain
found myself in a house of sin
felt at home when i first walked in
didnt stay to long... i got kicked out
so travelled back to the house of doubt...

Left again for the house of sloth
"to busy for me"... so i just walked out
found consolation in the house of glee
but my happyness upped...and walked out on me
seen the inside of the house of fear
with trepidation i knew...that i cant stay here
so booked a bed in the house of greed
where i lost everything that i'd ever need
so i turned the room...inside out
arriving back at the house of doubt...

So i left to go... to the house of rules
but left as quick...when i met the fools
popped next door... to the house of hate
but i wouldnt mix... so i had to vacate
then i knew that every... place i tried
i'm more at peace to my house inside...
