Demonic trusts lay in vein

Contributed by Gravehorn on Tuesday, 22nd August 2006 @ 07:00:53 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

A deep silhouette in a cage made of gold
Gilded and barred, holding nothing of old
Cold customs and trinkets are things of the past
To the angels and demons and sufferer’s caste

We mortals are nothing but death without locks
Flaccid and strong like an iron clad box
Holding inside the temptations of life
Having no need for peace when living in strife

The gate locked within each mundane soul
Bound by the laws of the firm grassy knoll
Hiding the passage to lovers first light
In the depths of the darkened, unholy one’s night

Hearing the words he spoke unto me
I acted on head of the orders of thee
Over, undone, and loosely he gave
Lyrics of sonnets to be laid on my grave

“Eternity brings not but suffering
In the eyes of the damned and lost.
To those who may die with no tears in their eyes
I leave only the words of the crossed.”

Darkness, damp, and the loneliness
Left with the dim and the holiness
Blind to the ramparts carved with the cross
To the damp cloudy night and the soft colored moss

Mist shallow and cold like water grown ice
Like dieing itself, only not to suffice
To come onto thee with words of demons and leaves
Of fires and hail, and frost frozen heaves

To drink from the glass of the devils and gods
Tasting the wine of absinthe smelt laud
Merely marionettes in the palms of fate
Walking either a road of kindness or hate

Very good, sad, dreary, dismal, incomprehensible, heart-wrenching, yet, interesting poem..... I guess..... Oh, What do I know.
God bless you.
