From out a golden step among green velvet stems
and silk chords, are crystal disks
that turn black as night in the sun.
I feel the digitalis and can see the openings
down the carpet of silver filigree like eyes and hair.
Yellow-gold pieces strewn over mahogany and oak
their columns supporting emerald domes
a canopy all about the bouquets of white satin
and delicate sprays of ruby-delight
surrounding cardinal roses
Like God with huge blue eyes and limbs like clouds
the sea and sky lure to our souls the many flowers
young and strong.
Billy

I'll bet if ya go back and talk to those flowers, recite this to 'em, they blush a little and thank you for the compliment of your magnificent words. Wonderful. |

Such a sturn and well thought write, for something that takes away the breath and puts a smile upon thee face. Such beauty in the words. So mesmerising....

Sweet poet .. this piece is so soft and gentle .. it feels
like the sensation of lying in a field of yellow, drenched in
sunlight, whilst shadowed by an occasional fluffy white
cloud. Beautiful imagery sweets.
This could be so profound in a mysterious and sort of
metaphorical way .. like many of the words you engrave
on the page.
absolutely stunning
