Well the menopause is awful,
Its been a nightmare for me,
Cos my spelling has gone awry,
Absent minded now is me,
It gives you awful flushes,
A heat you can't describe,
It races up from your feet,
With speed and rapid rise,
I am sure it affects your memory,
When the menopause hits full bloom,
Makes you stand round thinking,
What did I come for in this room,
Your sent into a turmoil,
Its a thing all ladies dread,
We would rather face chidbirth again,
Instead of this curse instead,
So you gents on here just think,
How lucky its not you,
Us women suffer badly,
I wonder what you'd do,
For one you'd find a cure for it,
Because you lot would not cope,
So some sympathy would be very nice,
But I doubt it, but live in hope.
Sues Version
I will never hit the menopause,
I was wise like that you see,
Cos at the age of 41,
I had a hysterectomy,
So no flushes do I suffer,
No bad days there for me,
I got the wonder treatment,
Yes the thing called HRT,
It keeps me young and happy,
Its made me a bit of a chancer,
Since I have been using it,
I have become a disco dancer,
I compete with all the youngsters,
And they sometimes even wager,
That I could dance them off the floor,
Cos I am now a born again teenager

| I said it once and I'll say it again.. there's infancy, pubescence, adolescence, perri-menopause, menopause and death. Nothing in between for women.. I enjoyed your write, it made me smile. |
