You lost me at the handshake

Why do you always seem to ignore my words?
But when I speak with actions
It seems to worry your nerves
So you scream and wait for my reaction
Do you honestly care about my feelings?
Or lack of breath passing through these lungs
Confused but what I once called real things
Because their now what I call numb
Stranded in a ditch
And smiles form for a long while
This life was handed to a *****
One who moves little and talks the mile
The cigarettes drag themselves through you
Sense of direction and sensitivity fading
So when brought up you move onto booze
I tried, but it’s all much more liberating
(Then Me)
So now I’m feeling left out
Because this life enables such emotion
Such feel good thoughts
Might as well smoke my natural high
Because its just me myself and I
