THE WORLD OUTSIDE ME

Another night in the steamy dark room,
Through the shiver of my restless spirit I sit,
Ogling at the fruitful trees, watching them bloom.
And the colourful rosebuds, all so neat!
Over and over again, after many countless days,
Locked up, nowhere to go,
Not a mirror to see my face,
How bloodcurdling I must appear from head to toe!
I remember how I’d landed in here,
It’s all coming back to me now,
Visions of these innocent faces filled with fear,
I’d hurt them somehow.
Beyond my window is a paradise,
A world I’ll never know,
Here in my world I’m picking grains of dry rice,
One thing is clear; I’m reaping what I’d sown.
My bones are crippled...I feel them no more,
I can barely hear the words of my plea,
Every part of my body feels sore,
Only with my eyes, I’m being forced to see the world outside me.

WOW
What can I add ?
Your emotions really come through.
True we reap what we sow,
But remember God forgives
the soul
