Flew to High

Topic: DarkPoetry

I musta flew to high
Because I crashed so hard
I clutch at my abdomen in pain
Vomit spews forth burning like acid rain
I thought I was so strong
Oh, how quickly I was proved wrong

This life brings confusion
Breeds death and murderous rage
I find myself on one knee
Praying to God asking to find the way, the key
But its blocked out by this endless hum
Turning my prayers to nothing, making me callous and numb

My feet become broken and tired
Old ladies jog by me trampling my confidence
As they whiz effortlessly by
I could hang my head, cry,
But these tears bring no relief
Joy leaves my face I notice with disbelief

I've been trained to cope and survive,
But its sorta hard when I find
Each night I'm bleeding myself to sleep
And praying my soul to keep
But its tough when I've lost everything 2 times over
And it seems my life has the importance of a 2 leaf clover

I musta flew to high
Because I crashed so hard
And now my eyes are swollen, sunken, and bleeding
My wrists are tied and for my miserable life I'm pleeding
I've prayed, whined, complained, and cried to God,
But has hasn't listened just gave a cursory nod

I musta flew to high
Because I'm still falling
I'm on my knees begging for a reprieve,
But I already know the answer
I just await the final outcome
