It seems sometimes that I'm out of hope and most certainly out of cash
I'm still humming my tune and you can surely be certain of that
Ridiculous emotional tendencies
Won't let me forget what you said to me
It's quite possibly the greatest, but it's definitely the worst
Like starving from the inside or dying of thirst
Drink my wine, smoke my leaf
She used to be all the company I'd ever need
Not anymore, not by any long shot
I'd tell you her name but I already forgot
Not from drinking, not from these thoughts that reside deep within
I'm spinning, spinning, spinning, spinning all over again

I love the way you connect the visual image of the spider with the emotional effects of loss. Very nicely written. |
