Making Love to Pen and Paper

Contributed by Jyssvw22 on Thursday, 17th August 2006 @ 10:49:46 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

stick out your tongue
and softly say
ahhhhhhh…
rub on two of these
i’ll see you in the morning
love lasts all night
tired, from the up and down motion
sweaty tears
of orgasmic
man potion
organic caution
forgotten
protection
i was not careful…

give me sympathy
in all the right places
pretend, if you must…
make it seem
as though you knew me, once
as though you cared
show me compassion
when cushions
have deflated
less then elated
subjugated and flattened
beyond repair

i can usually tell, a roses smell
from the ashes of a flaming hell
a wishing well…
with dry buckets, skeletal,
fish in the pale
wealth from rockets
a cat turns to eat its own tail
seconds away from licking the third electric rail

it itches from bites
left by insects
who watch…
men conjugate at night
from left to right
dressed in off-white
the line forms
in the rear
of the bubbled sphere
holding it all in air-tight

confiscated were the
essential ingredients
necessary for the process of expedience
for quickness is the relief of immobility
hostilities erupt into contemptuous wars
pretentious whores
after all, isn’t that what I came here for?

sad, I know
you don’t have to tell me twice

I am thinking I would love to hear this aloud. It has a sort of slam feel to it. The off beat rhyming adds a synchopated edge that was a pleasure to read.

"give me sympathy
in all the right places"

I can't tell you how much I love those lines .. I realize I
am taking it out of context but it just feels like something
familiar to me .. something we all crave at one time or
another ...

there is an edginess to this that moves those lines
to a whole different realm .. quite intriguing
