the greatest wonder

ah, that tiny face upturned
that hand held out to mine
innocent eyes loving ,learning
with wonder how they shine
tiny fingers in my grasp
smiling eyes i see
as tightly i the hand do clasp
so tightly held are we
thy baby fingers,baby ways
childish pranks and such
filling all our living days
oh, the heart can love so much
these tiny fingers holding fast
on us they set a seal
the depth of feeling in the heart
this loving can reveal
oh, wonder in our world of living
tiny messages from above
taking all but also giving
meaning to our life and love's
if all we lose yet still retain
these arms to hold them near
we have no loss while they remain
these little ones so dear
the will to live personnalized
our future and our past
while these small ones realise
our life ,our love will last
