Remember Me

Contributed by lostinmyself on Tuesday, 15th August 2006 @ 08:10:25 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

In moments when the darkness falls,
And hope seems just a shallow dream,
Close your eyes and take a breath,
Remember them, remember me.

When hands will shake and tears will fall,
You need reminding how to breathe,
Look deep down into your thoughts,
Remember them, remember me.

And through every trip and every stumble,
Though you're far away from here,
Know that we are reaching out, and
Through our hearts we're always near.

You gotta know Philly, ... I couldn't have used many words more ... than I needed those particular ones right now. I don't imagine they were intended just for me, but they were just right for right now.

( whispers ... Thank You )

Such a beautiful poem! I can't say anything that hasn't already been said, except that sometimes the simple ones say it all,

Reading this poem is like receiving a soft gentle embrace.....an emotional hug. It's comforting and beautifully written. I really like what I would call the theme of this lovely poem: you're never further away then a thought.....a heart beat! This poem inspires me!

Well done Philly,

Will

I understand this as a gentle reminder for those who find themselves remiss at times at the nature of human-kindness~

regrets my friend, for coming so late to this..

..a lovely post Phil.. truly~

What's unique about this piece is that it seems to reach out to each and every reader as if it was meant just for them. I know I feel that way.
Wonderful the way you touch each of us....
