You know it's rough
I know you care.
I know you care,
I love you,
Please open your eyes.

Open your eyes to me
Look at me and please,
Please tell me that I'm broken.
Tell me what I need to hear
No one else will.

Listen to this cry and tell me now
Tell me that it hurts me.
Tell me I'm hurting me.
Convince me it needs to end.

Listen to this cry not for yourself,
Please. I don't mean to ask you,
But I need you to do this for me--

You are the only one who can.
You are the only one who can
I know it. I know you. I love you.

I'm out of line and you know it.
Say mean things,
Say horrible things.
Make me cry, make me scream, make me bleed.

Give me a wound, love,
Then leave.
Leave me behind
Like the summer of last year,
So I can grow.

I need to grow, to learn.

Don't worry about us,
I'll never stop loving you,
I know you care.
I'll be okay.
You'll be okay.

I promise I'll be me again in no time.
After all... I know you love me.
