He stands there.
His burden bundled under his arm.
Corners, tattered and unkempt.
Corners he tries so hard to turn, yet always back
To the same road. Dead End.
They look down at him,
Yet they do not look him in the eyes, do not hear his plea.
The ears of society, clogged with consumerism.
Sometimes they may pry, at the bottom of the purse
Bottom of the purse for bottom of the heap
Bottom of the barrel, scraping a living
Bottom of the food-chain, police come a'kickin
Bottom of the bridge, we never even listened.

There are societies that try to help, but I agree that homeless people are pretty much invisable..more needs to be done; but while they are homeless, I am hopeless.
I liked the repitition..bottom of...nice job. |
