2am and I'm up in a few hours for work

Contributed by deadclown on Friday, 11th August 2006 @ 08:17:08 PM in AEST
Topic: ApologyPoetry

Tonight I realised so many things
So many things that could just pass me by
I've got the best friend anyone could ask for
I've got someone who loves me for me
I've got a family who would lay down their life for me
So why do I walk like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders?

I'm not a material person
All I've ever wanted is acceptance
and love
This I have
Why can I not see this?

Why do I only realise this when I've been drinking
I'm sorry
I'm so sorry
Thankyou though
I only wish you were all here right now so I could tell you how I feel
Instead I'm here on my own writing all this nonsense to people who don't know me
And to you I am also sorry
I just need to clear my head

This ain't even a "good write"
I think I'm losing it
My head's too messed up right now
I can't focus properly on what I'm trying to say
Sorry for wasting anyone's time here

Pass me by
Everything else tends to

I believe I understand your desire to write this and the need to post it here. I write mostly in the wee hours of the night myself and have sometimes been quite surprised at what I posted here when I revisit it in the light of day. With regard to this:

writing all this nonsense to people who don't know me

Personally, I have found enormous benefit in doing just that - and I hope that you find yourself feeling the same. It's not nonsense. Necessary, important, valuable - yes.... but not nonsense, at least not in my opinion.

Wishing you well -
~Snemmy

At least to me writting helps me feel alittle better from time to time. And I agree with the previous comment that it isnt nonsense but that it is important and necessary. Keep on writting...

Take care-
Rich

you may feel alone but inside you know that aint true, many feelings can bubble up whilest under the influence however i suggest you address the people to whom you refer and show them how much you feel for them,
you talk of a best friend, a family, and a love
so i think it is down to you to try and hang on to them.
there is nothing worse than regret
as for letting things pass you by,
it seems you need to stop the merry-go-round
and focus on you, for you only know what you truely want.
go get it buddy and keep on truckin
hope i aint come across like a nob

Sometimes we don't understand what we have until they leave our sight and maybe we don't give attention to the things we should and instead give our attention to things which are either not worth it or hurt us. Me and my best friend do not speak anymore and each day it is hurtful without their presence as they was my all in 1. Sorry for going on but your writing made me think and put things in perspective
