Another Day in Jersey

Contributed by jerseysue on Friday, 11th August 2006 @ 04:13:38 PM in AEST
Topic: happypoetry

I wake up on this bright new morn,
By the sweet sound of the birds in song,
I take a walk down to the beach once more,
To watch the waves crash on the shore,

The golden sand upon my feet,
The salty breeze blows on my face,
The screeching seagull overhead,
Breaks the calmness of this place,

I sit on the rocks in solitude,
And watch the waves in awe,
They swirl around on the sand,
And go out again once more,

I am in a happy place,
It makes me feel so glad,
With all this beauty that I see,.
I have no reason to be sad,

Ah, yes - the shore! I adore it as well. I absolutely, positively do not hesitate to tell you that I wish I could spend everyday as you have described above. Ah, but alas! my house is too far away.... one day though, I will have a home at the shore!!!

Lovely write, Sue. You have set me to dreaming...

I am directly at home when by the sea-
and have spent many days and nights along its shores-
Your summer sounds splendid~
