Picture of Perfection

Contributed by Anna on Tuesday, 11th February 2003 @ 04:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

If you see anyone (walking down a street)
You won't be able (to know whats going on)
Minds confused and angered (who is it to blame)
What really goes on
Is locked and hidden away.

Faces covered with emotion
Some may be true
Others painted false
Painted so thick no one realise
That what they see is a deeply disguised man

Chorus:
You won't ever (ever know)
What really goes on
Problems, emotions and pain
Are hidden behind a picture of perfection
Ready to face another day

People smile and act like they're fine
But deep inside it's another story
Deep inside of everyone is a demon
Oh we must try to keep it locked inside
I don't know but sometimes we're evil
Other times we turn out just fine
What is it that makes us who we are
No one ever turns out the same

Bridge:
Fears swimming around inside us
But the face it can tell lies

(chorus x 1)

You won't ever (ever know)
What really goes on
Problems, emotions and pain
Are hidden behind a picture of perfection
A picture of perfection
A picture of perfection
A picture of perfection
Ready to face another day

Anna
That's life
It's what you make it
I liked this (had to skip your second I am an emotional coward) more of your spirit showed through in this one
Fear doesn't frighten you to death does it?
