Just because I am not like you
Doesn't mean you have to laugh at me
Doesn't mean you are perfect either
And doesn't mean that through me you can't see;
Just because I am not like you
Doesn't mean you have to make fun
Doesn't mean the world won't go round
And doesn't mean we won't get things done;
Just because I am not like you
Doesn't mean friends won't be friends
Doesn't mean enemies won't be enemies
Doesn't mean we would never lend a hand;
Just because I am not like you
Would you turn me down?
Would you hate me with all your heart?
Would you not look at me or make a sound?
So you see, we're not that different after all.
