The Village Idiot ( No fool is he)

Contributed by jerseysue on Thursday, 10th August 2006 @ 11:53:54 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

The village idiot is not as he seems,
For he can create what others doth dream,
Making the park a beautiful site,
Working upon it both day and night,

He is the man who works the soil,
Day and night he doth toil,
No rest he takes till his work is done,
Payment for which, he taketh none,

No time for him the revelry and fun,
If this job it has to be done,
His tools are his hands, strong and willing,
The pressure on his back, for it is killing,

The beauty is there for his eyes to behold,
The splendour of natures humble abode,
So while they laugh at this village twit,
There eyes are blind to the beauty of it,

For being the idiot,is no curse,
Its a blessing from above,
For he paints a wondrous picture,
Of unselfishness and love,

Admittedly without knowledge of the perception of those who would call this gift "the Village Idiot", I would have to say those who would say this are the IDIOTS. Sounds like he's a HERO to me. I agree with emy, this is an AWESOME write. Put it down as one of my favourites (cowboy spells unAmerican English for his British buddy) of yours. Masterful work, Sue!

..those who scourge the ones who make the world beautiful for the rest of us, are the fools.

Damn to hell, what they might think or say my friend~
I appreciate your efforts, here, and otherwise.

Sincerely enough-

Billy
