Will I always be in your heart,
Can I ever even run away?
Will I always waste if apart,
Or can I overcome this decay?
If you ripped my blind hopes to shreds,
I would put them all back together.
If you trampled my heart to death,
My soul would follow you forever.
So promise that you won't hurt me,
Because it's you that I love the most.
But if that's a promise you can't keep,
Then I will be your loyal ghost.
As your eyes close in deep slumber,
I can only pray you dream of us.
And I will be deep in wonder,
Of what the future will bring to us.
If I hurt you in your heart's heart,
Would you stay for my apology?
If our life took too long to start,
Could you ever think to wait for me?
I promise that I'd treasure you,
And make sure that you are never lost.
That promise will be forever true,
Until I am your loving ghost.
