When Blackness Resides (Its best I hide)

Contributed by jerseysue on Wednesday, 9th August 2006 @ 03:24:03 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

When dark clouds come , and your stuck inside,
When you feel there is no one in which to confide,
When life is a burden , and its a bumpy ride,
You take to the hills, yes you hide,

For me it is certain, I'm behind the curtain,
Lost in the darkness and pain,
I cannot be found, I will make no sound,
Till I want to start living again,

The trouble with me, Is I want to be free,
But like an idiot, I hurt others too,
For My anger it shows, to the wrong ones I know,
And I make them miserable and blue,

So I am hiding away, maybe just for today,
Till at last I can handle the feelings,
It makes me so sad, That I could be so bad,.
And be underhand , crass ,and unfeeling,

Or maybe its time, I gave up the fight,
And realised that I am uncaring,
That bitter I be, and nasty you see,
Not a friend, just so overbearing.

Makes lot of sense to me what you are describing in this great poem. What matters most is that you write from your heart to ours. Keep up the good work ;)

Yes, Sue, we all have our selfish moments and dark days - being nice is really hard work, and we need to be self-centred and aloof sometimes. I agree that its best to do that in your own 'time outs', as most people- even though they, paradoxically, do the same thing-don't appreciate it when you feel this way.
