Emptiness filled her soul
Falling through an endless hole
Arms flailing as she plummeted down
There's no one around. . .
No one to save her from drowning in sorrow
Or the depression that will soon follow
No one to tell her it'll be a better tomorrow
Or to mend her heart which felt so hollow
Feeling forgotten, forsaken, abandoned
It weighed down on her like a burden
Then she saw the light
At the end of a dark tunnel, shining bright
The glow basked from an angel
Who saw underneath her mask, a frightened, lonely girl
Who looked beyond her scarred appearance
And helped her go the distance
She's not alone-what a wonderful discovery
As she embarked on the road to recovery
