You said, “I don’t want you to hate me.”
Well, I do hate you.
How dare you leave me?
You said, “You are my best friend. I don’t want to lose you.”
If I was your “best friend”, why couldn’t you talk to me?
You said, “I am unhappy.”
And now I can’t quit crying.
You said, “I don’t want to lose the kids.”
How can you expect me to let you come over to see them
When it will only hurt my heart?
You said, “I don’t love you anymore.”
Why?
So, yesterday I packed your bags and
Left them on the lawn.
I’ve cried and cried and cried some more.
Why don’t these tears dry up?
I just don’t understand.
I walked you to the front and gave you
One last chance.
To declare your love and ask me to let you stay.
But all you said was “I’m sorry.”
Sorry? Sorry? SORRY???
And then you left.

It is self explanatory... breaking up is a very difficult time, you penned your anger briliantly, I hope it helped to get it off your chest, good write,

love is not always promised. i pretty sure you can tell that by the poems that i write. love takes time and sometimes its not always meant at the the time that you want it. i truly understand. good write. and look at it this way, don't you at all go looking for love, let it gracefully look for you |
