Who would have thought,
These feelings never last.
Your sweet lips,
Kind eyes,
Tender hands,
Nothing is forever.
What was once beautiful and new,
Turning old and stale.
Sweet words no more,
Gone is the love.
Accusations shouted in despair,
Hearts broken with the truth.
Parting with no goodbye,
A love exists no more.
Who would have thought,
These feelings never last.
Sweet lips dripping poison words,
Kind eyes turned hard,
Tender hands bunched in anger,
Nothing is forever.
