Parasites on Site..

Contributed by Man_On_High on Monday, 7th August 2006 @ 12:27:24 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

My stay is among some of the best
midst the many 'profited guest'
who live and die upon our page.

And though we find again
each seperate rage ON FIRE,
in measure enough,
from minutes to days, more dreary
of all the usuall stuff
that dull our minds in course,
we gather the cure
by going blind to the absurd..
unleashing all they've never known or learned..
nor kept in mind-

deterred from a greater kind of word..
that would leap beyond their fearing souls
and soggy narrow minds.

B

yep, it's a needle in a haystack alright, but sometimes the most unprepossessing piece has an idea of phrase that stands out and leaves you glad that you read it. Still, it takes a lot of sifting.

I tried to eat a clam once. I spit it out (those things are horrid! I really don't understand how anyone eats them! lol)

Ah, but.... I'll keep opening clams, dear poet ---- hoping to occasionally find a pearl. *wink*

Sometimes quite frustrated, but always inclined to search for knowing I'll find something like this to sink my teeth into-

(hee.... um.....)

Let's just pretend that I intentionally said "clams" instead of "oysters" there because I was thinking specifically of black pearls which, I believe, are produced by giant clams in the South Pacific. Yeh... uh huh... I knew that. (*grins*)

[I do actually prefer black pearls to white ones... I said that once in a poem, so there's proof of that available! lol... but I don't actually know much about clams OR oysters as I don't have a taste for either. A bit of quick research this evening has only further confused me on the matter of pearl production --- but... I'm thinking I've now sufficiently covered myself regardless of which was more appropriate, no? *laughs*]

Before I comment I must O_o at Snemmy...

O_o's

I must say, I adore her thing about the clams..oysters... whatever, but the second bit...*just laughs*

She is right of course, Billy... To get to something good, you must first know the bad.

Good write, and one I have no doubt many people understand and can relate to.

*hugs*
