The Age of Forty Three
Life was taken away
From a man who was idolized
And a man who was cherished
A man who could always be counted on
He fulfilled his purpose, whatever that might be
But left a burden, to whoever followed
The Age of Seventeen
A burden is acquired
And a view is granted
A view of expectation
The bar is set
And the burden is placed
Will he be able to live up?
Now with a life just unfolding
Shortly after one life ceased
Is it possible to live up
to a man who was a hero
For the better part of seventeen years
He must now face the world
And find a way through, alone
Can he make it?
Will he succeed?
Only time will tell
Guess I will find out.
