kind of an art

Contributed by priss on Friday, 4th August 2006 @ 11:59:26 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

teasing me with your bits of affection
you sneak into my heart
-its kind of an art-
the way you work on me.

so i offer all of me, section by section.
painting my curves
stroking my flesh full of nerves,
you re-create me.

i'm a work in progress, no where near perfection.
you've made a landscape of my thighs,
made sunsets of my eyes;
evoking a false depiction of me.

afraid of what you'll see,
you make your corrections-
(paint my heart black)
-its almost an attack-
the way you work on me.

fearing your rejection
i let you make your mold
all my passion i enfold
to become the me that you want.

Just Wow, Priss. The reason why I plow through post after post - to strike gold. Instantly seductive, well written, then the U-turn of the last two stanzas, beginning with the abrupt last line of stanza 3. You captured a diverse mix of feelings here. Happy 2007.

OH gosh , priss .. I'm with spike here. This is brilliant!
(and I have tried to curb that word, having used
it a bit too liberally in the past)

It's so painful .. I feel ya.
And I understand the desire, need and pain.

This was exceptionally well conceived and displayed.

Stunning!
