Sadder than sad
Bluer than blue
She went wandering
Her life through
Looking for love
In every strangers face
Not finding any
Not even a trace
While on the home front
Love was waiting there
But her heart could not open
For her to really share
As the years went by
To the facts she was blind
Until one day finally
The truth she did find
Love was by her side
For over thirty years
Steadfast and strong
Through laughter and tears
Not a knight in shining armor
Or an exciting movie star
But a guy faithful to her
And better than most by far
Now as through life she goes
Growing stronger spiritually
Finally accepting his love
She moves along happily

Shari, this started out so sad .. but turned into
such a sweet and loving story.
Too beautiful for words. The last stanza really
made me smile. : )
