I love our lovely way of dying...

Contributed by In_a_While on Wednesday, 2nd August 2006 @ 10:13:00 AM in AEST
Topic: drugabuse

on a floor
shards of window
i broke my heart against her hate
in a room
with only chairs
i fold my hands 'til it's too late

Now i'm shaking in the clouds
with our hands held, we sought the sounds
of memories melting in the mind
i love our lovely way of dying...

in a mirror
empty eyes
lines of white help poison "free"
on a flower
tears can lie
and that's become the voice in me

Now she's on the edge of love
falling down seen not above
spread your wings my dearest fate
let your claws grip what you hate...

i'm still here
candle's glow
cut and paste within the rains
she can see
but never knows
that i can't taste beyond my veins

dw

Omigod .. this was exceptionally written! I hope this is
not ill-fitted of me to say, but man, this was an incredible
read.. [and I loved it]. Even though the topic is controversial,
the piece itselt, stands unaffected and proverbial.
That last line is sooooooo impossibly IMMENSE!!

Excellent post. Very well done!

this one hit me in an interesting spot. it's funny sometime how you can take another persons work and relate it directly to what you are going through at that moment in your life. i really liked this..
