The Room In the Back

The dust settles and I'm locked in this room
I hope the cleaning lady comes and I hope she comes soon
Contempt for my fellow man and more than likely
Contempt for myself and this world tries to fight me
All I want is adoration, but that isn't really it at all
Getting tired of all this waiting, I need to get on the ball
I'd offer you flowers, but the only ones I have are made of stone
They might be too heavy of a burden so maybe I'll just leave you alone
I'd hate to see you empty handed
Especially with all those subtle things you so utterly demanded
Grab a gesture, grab a gun
Maybe you could shoot me in the face, but only if I'm the one
Your throat tries hard to swallow, the pressure is inconceivable
You're so pretty, it's pretty unbelievable
I want you to adore me, not like you ever will
It's three weeks from last thursday, and I am locked in here even still
Just call me untitled because I think you forgot my name
Who needs a title in the first place, locked inside a dusty room all the blame
