Between Scary and Damaged

Contributed by Lilly-Quill on Monday, 31st July 2006 @ 11:11:07 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Real life comes with scars and walls of defence.
Committing to an open-door relationship gets tense.

Neath covered books of scary or damaged, there’s real.
Many good homes have unbearable memories, surreal.

Best of certainties are sand-houses for winds of doubt.
Harbouring fear percolates damage for a ghost of gout.

Some lose their temper in a moment, thinking all is well.
Harm from such an explosion can be a hydrogen bomb of hell.

Attitudes and manners go far at the end of the worst day.
Major emphasis is on impressions not valued content; hey.

Few take the time to empathize for another‘s difficult walk.
Apathy and neglect do more damage than second-hand talk.

We parrot mindsets, with hypocrisy, devaluing a gift present.
Psychologically damaged; perhaps~, but objectively who isn’t?

A viable insurance for healing is “Jesus Christ Mutual life.”
Yet an open heart-door descends before the real of valued rife.
