Haunted by the voices of yesterday,
as they lift me up in a disturbing way.
The bittersweet things they say, leave behind a familiar pain
and i am drawn back like a moth to a flame.
where ever i hide i will always be found,
I just can't resist their shrilling sounds
tormenting me throughout the night-
the voices give me hope with the darkest of light.
When the long awaited silence finally takes control-
the emptiness rises into my soul
and i long so desperately-
to once again hear the voices of yesterday

| Many a song has talked about yesterday, and I visit my yesterdays a lot. Its an emotional rollercoaster. But Its my yesterdays that keep me going, and your poem explains the feelings and emotions very well. Sue x |

Constantly I am haunted by the voices and memories of yesterday. They come in flash backs, and sometimes they're better than dealing with the present. I can relate to this. A lot of emotion in here.
