Keep Visible O’ Liberty of Law

Contributed by RLWildPassions on Sunday, 30th July 2006 @ 04:23:02 PM in AEST
Topic: war

~ ~ ~

Existence of light
Bring us all a peaceful night,
Your image; no flaw
Keep visible O’ liberty of law

Beauty of likeness renown
Let not serious danger take us down-
O’ life that fills the air
Keep us all in your care

~ ~ ~

Our horizon may soon disappear
Its’ lower limb is near,
The sky with red-orange inside
Is visual perception; it is hate spreading wide

Must more fail; must more fall
Colors of appearance; your story is truth for all,
May you not reflect death; no more to die
O’ bright star, from on high---

~ ~ ~

We have pictures in frames filled with gloom
Holes in jackets from pasts’ boom,
Gaps representing weakness; soul brothers dead
Where red-hot clouds before have led-

Many into non-existence, their flames
Tormented names-
Who claimed blood-destructive weapons, they roar
In the furnace of fire, forever more

~ ~ ~

They discharged their stones, impressed satan’s glory
Their effort to win gave them no honor, they lost in battle blood gory,
They went about it the wrong way. “Bring all your gold
The devil told-
~ ~ ~
Evil warriors in the land of rebellion, brothers by your side
I will share my miles of open country, and I will be your bride!”
Great antagonists, they stayed wicked; they let evil fill their mind-
“You will prevail, beauty of life cannot save, you unbelieving kind!”

So they acted upon one another; he went on to say-
“Strip their country; let blood ebb the rest away!”
Boasting with gnawing teeth, to all he would meet
He spoke of tomorrows’ greater weapons; all would surely beat-

But their wars became nothing, his evil warriors could not tread
Their game was over; their sport was dead,
In a hot dwelling place, not blessed, they were wrong
To think the devil did not exist; he had all along-
~ ~ ~
They were cast into hell, where no beauty a-waits-
Where there is no rest day or night; no golden gates,
Horror of desire drew them into fires terror
Those evil warriors, has company there-

Their price was high; lake of fire, their grave-
Has no flags; none will ever wave,
No bread, no water; their gold refine
Bought them nothing, but to wail in deaths divine-

~ ~ ~

O’ existence of Light, bless our land
Let us see the horizon where we stand,
While violence serves its’ evil well
Where behind bars they weep in hell

Erase their footprint tracks; take care of us all
Keep the rest of us from following, do not let us fall,
Cover them with peace, amen and amen
Keep visible O’ liberty of law; O’ love without end

~ ~ ~

I never noticed this remarkable poem Rachel.
Quite extraordinary and challenging.
Perhaps you noticed that some people abhor this type of poems, like presently mine, and do their utmost to ruin you if you have courage. and put your finger where it stinkws
Never let this bother you.
This is a remarkable peace
But at YPDC they do not like to be reminded of possible threats.
Hugs and love
Elizabeth

Does not bother me what any reader likes or dislikes sister. It was written, am my own critic...as one of your earlier poem states, be yourself, as for me, I read, look, and listen and write.. nah, I never let a foolish idea bother me, if I did that, what good would it do to refill my quill. I thank you very much for reading, for understand the importance of my write, and I pray you will come back and fulfill the pages so I can fulfill my heart of joy in reading, no matter what your poem entail, amen. rl
