Out Kites Fly No More

Contributed by The_Unknown on Sunday, 30th July 2006 @ 11:58:56 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

the years have been short
but the days were long
cool of a temperat breeze
from dark skies
to wet grass
we fell into a field it seems
a thousand summers past
when our kite lines first crossed
we tied them into knots
to finaly fly apart
we had to cut them off
sense then its been a book
that you read in reverse
so you understand less
as the pages turn on
or a movie so crossed
and awkwardly cast
that even I could be the star
I don't look back much
as in the past
but your memorie is here
and I'd like
to stay

summers were warm
and winters were cold
the years have been short
but the days have been long
to loose kites
falling from the sky
drawn to the ground
and an end to the flight

I really liked this, I enjoyed it a lot. The themes here were quite strong, and I just started feeling extremely nostalgic, it was very emotional, good job.

Beautifully written. Written with strong feelings. It seems you took time and thought about what to write. Great job.
