The rain drops fall intermittently
Wet shirts cling to wet backs
The air is damp with moisture
The sun attempts in vain to streak through
Puddles to skip over in graceful strides
Conversation takes a turn
I come for the ride
Pleasant are the cool splashes
Relief from the heat rashes
Icicles dangle off hearts
Entwined in a love triangle
It starts
Twirling silver rod
Resistant fabric covers the beauty
Hair arranged in a comfortable stance
Legs hold firm
Knee buckling romance
A slow dance
Thoughts of leaving
For a good reason
Are not enough
Stay here
In sight
Within reach
Available with ease
Throwing caution to the breeze
Apathetic to surroundings
Just two talk amongst themselves
Truth would walk in circles
To prolong
This afternoon miracle
