A TURN OF YOUR HEAD

Contributed by lovingcritters on Friday, 28th July 2006 @ 01:50:48 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

A TURN OF YOUR HEAD

A turn of your head, and you're suddenly old
Young age yearns to be grown, years unfold
A turn of your head from child to teen.
Seems no time in between.......

Magic number of 21 then you're set free.
A turn of your head and you're three...
Married with beautiful children
'Little girl' dreams swiftly shorten

Happiness realized until life interrupts.
Rain must fall, sometimes a flood erupts
A turn of your head looking back.....
Stronger for the storms that set us back.

A turn of your head a whole life lived
Heart full of memories to be relived.
Unbelievably old, way before our time
One turn of your head, a whole lifetime

Mom ConSue~
my sweet lady it's so true that with the turn of the head and a blink of an eye life passes us by so fast. I look now and we are nearly at the end of July and it's not long til christmas. We are like a memory in life we come and we go. A most pleasant and enjoyable write. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful work with us Mom ConSue.
warm love & forever *smiles*

So true, and well presented. Life is rolled out forwards, but a turn of the head can take you wherever (and whenever) the memory lingers.

I am never dissapointed by a ConSue entry, and this is certainly no exception. Life does indeed flow swiftly. We just need to enjoy as much of it as we can as often as possible ... live for the good times and move swiftly quickly through the rough ones.

Thank you Connie ... just for being you !!!

Beautiful summary of life's journey passing all too quickly but at the same time celebrating what is achieved within and memories to be held onto and enjoyed.

As what all poetry should do...it makes us think! Good piece.
